The Team

The Chaplaincy operates with a great team of people - an administrator and a team of 22 volunteer chaplains, a Board of Trustees and a number of others who give advice, time and other help on an ad hoc basis.

David Alexander

David Alexander

David grew up in Luton and did an apprenticeship at Vauxhall Motors.  Since then, he has married Jane, had 3 children and become the Vicar of St Thomas’ Church in Stopsley.  He has suffered through the ups and downs of Luton Town football club but is still a fervent
supporter!!! David leads the Vauxhall Motors team.

Clive Barrett

Clive Barrett

Clive is married to Ann and is interested in conservation and the environment.  He says, “I am a Lutonian and proud of it!”
Clive leads the teams on the Streets and in the Mall.

Richard Bratt

Richard Bratt

Richard has two daughters. He is a retired scientist with a background in Government work. He is also a founder member of Luton Street Pastors and has been an active Street Pastor since 2009.

Steve Dolby

Steve Dolby

Steve attends St Thomas’ Church in Stopsley and is also a fundraiser for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).  In his spare time he enjoys going to the cinema and the theatre and attended his first music festival in 2014.

Jean Godden

Jean has loved living in Luton for the last 40 plus years.  She taught food technology in several local secondary schools but has now retired and enjoys looking after her small grandson twice a
week.

Diane Harvey

Diane Harvey

Originally from Rugby, Warwickshire, Diane moved to Luton in 1989 and has 2 grown up children.  She attends both Blenheim Crescent Baptist Church, and Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and enjoys going to the gym with
her daughter.

Martyn Godden

Martyn Godden

Martyn has lived in Luton for many years.  He is an accountant and has been a Street Pastor since 2009.

Sarah Hibbard

Sarah Hibbard

Originally from South Wales, Sarah moved to Luton in 2003.  She is married to James and is an active member of Hope Church.  She is currently learning to ride a motorbike and helps the Mall and Streets team out when they need her.

Jackie Hoque

Jackie Hoque

Jackie is married to Mark with grown up children, and grandchildren aged between 4 months and 13 years.  She attends St Hugh’s Church, Lewsey, and writes poetry when inspired ......so be careful what you tell her about yourselves or it’s sure to end in an ode!

Luke Larner

Luke Larner

Luke is married to Jeni and has a young son. Together they work with various initiatives to share God’s love with those on the margins of mainstream society.  Luke, a ragamuffin with a cause, is passionate about motorcycles, music and the marginalised.  He is currently studying with CMS on their Pioneer Ministry course.
Luke leads the NOAH team.

Heather has lived in Luton for 20 plus years and is retired. She heads up the Chaplaincy team in the Courts.

Cathy Nobles

Cathy Nobles

Cathy is an American by birth where she was a teacher for 18 years.  She has lived in the UK since 2003.  She left her country in 1991 to work in Europe, the Middle East and Africa on various reconciliation and faith projects.  Cathy led the Reconciliation Walk Community and is currently based at St Mary’s
church. She is a Trustee of LCC.

Jessica Rowlands

Jessica Rowlands

Jessica is married with 3 children and a dog and has lived in Luton most of her life.  She teaches at local primary schools on a supply basis and supports her husband in church planting initiatives. Jessica leads the team within LBC.

Zsuzsanna Sheen

Zsuzsanna Sheen

Zsuzsanna is originally from Hungary but has lived in Luton for more than 20 years.  She is married to Tony and has 3 grown-up children.  She also has a granddaughter in Liverpool.  Zsuzsanna currently works part-time as a care-giver for home care and is part of the Chaplaincy team in the Mall and streets in the town centre area.

Carol Wilson

Carol Wilson

Carol is married and has lived in Luton for many years. She worked as a Financial Adviser for the Halifax in Watford and took early retirement in 2010. Carol is a member of St Mary’s Church.

Jacky Wilson

Jacky Wilson

Jacky is married to Geoff and has three children and seven grandchildren who are all a great delight to her.  She has lived in Luton all of her married life and works part time in a local Community Centre.  She has asked the Lord that she would experience/see a new thing about Him or his world every year for the rest of her life, and says He never disappoints!!!

David lives in Luton and is married with two grown up children and has many years of pastoral experience in the UK and abroad. He is joining the Luton Borough Council team once a week and the Asda team once a month.

Tracy Comfort

Tracy Comfort

Tracy is married with children living locally who works for, and worships with, the Salvation Army. She has many years of experience working with people, including being a teacher, and is joining us as a Chaplain in the Courts.

Sandra Gouldbourne

Sandra Gouldbourne

Sandra lives locally and is part of Restoration Revival Fellowship. She is a Support Worker with LBC and has many years of Counselling experience. She is part of the Courts Chaplaincy team.

Elder and Church Secretary at Wigmore Church, Luton Churches Together Executive member, trade union rep in the PCS union and employed by HM Revenue and Customs.

Richard Bratt

Retired from Government office, Church leader.
